Here we go, another season of Hunting is upon us. So far I’ve come up empty handed after two attempts to get some geese, even though I still had a great time. Deer season (Rifle) opens in our WMU next Monday and I am looking forward to it quite a bit. Daisy of course probably has no idea what’s coming and the realization of time, but I know she is going to enjoy it again. This will be her second year and I hope she is as good as her first. She’s 18 monthes old now and appears to have settled in around 27 lb’s. Let’s go huntin!

Jersey at 6 weeks weighed in at only 4.6 Lbs, at 9 weeks she weighed in at 16 Lbs! Absolutely incredible growth speed! I would hate to go through the joint and growing pains she is enduring. It doesn’t slow her down much and she is always a busy character in her world. She finds more stuff around the house than I new we had. She is just a doll to have around and I am glad we have her.
Danielle and I went to Awenda Prov. Park and spent the best part of Labour Day on our site until the rain finally let up and we could have one day of no rain before we had to leave. Jersey had fun swimming for the first time and was a little nervous, but got in anyway because she had to have her stick back, regardless of the fact that we were in a very large hardwood forest, it had to be that one!
Here is Jersey on the beach of Awenda

That’s right, her name is Jersey. After battling with names and trying to figure out the best one that suited her, the one that fit the best was Jersey! She is so cute and is going to be a huge cuddler. She comes home on Thursday afternoon and will meet all of her other pet friends at home – Casey the Cat, and Frank and Elmira the fish. House training and obedience will take some time but Danielle and I have always had good luck house training dogs. A few weeks and a little patience and the pup will be good as gold, well chocolate.
