2005 Deer Season

The 2005 Deer Hunt is soon coming to an end. I spent the last week at our Family Camp near Sundridge, ON. It turned out to be a great week with our trusty friend ‘Wild Bill’ nocking out the first dear by 9:00 AM the first day! The remainder of the week was pleasant except for Wednesday when we woke up to snow, but had to play in the rain the remainder of the day. We didn’t see any other deer until Thursday when my goofy cousin missed a deer on the road from 30 yds. Malcolm got his first this year after a wounding shot and hunt through the bush for a couple hours he finally got the last shot into it and put it down. It was a great week spending all that time alone in the bush, the peacefulness and serenity was astounding. It’s amazing how many things you can get resolved sitting in the bush for hours with no one to talk to but yourself.
